Wesleyan College, Macon, Georgia, recently received Title III funding to increase enrollment and strengthen fiscal stability. An analysis of the problems associated with Wesleyan's low enrollment led the College to develop a tri-partive strategy to increase enrollment:

  1. Infusing the teaching/learning process with instructional technology through faculty development, web-enhanced instruction and the creation of new technology classrooms/labs.
  2. Developing a new Computer Information System major.
  3. Strengthening the teacher preparation program by meeting state-mandated technology standards for pre-service teachers.

The key measures for project success will be an enrollment increase of 165 FTE students over the base year 2003. At least 90% of the faculty will have infused technology applications in courses as indicated through course syllabi, evaluation plans and survey instruments.
